Ignore what the wife says, if you have ever played for the Old Wokingians Football Club, you definitely are a WOPA, a fully paid up member of the Wokingians Old Players Association.

About two years ago the WOPAs were started with the aim of keeping ex-players informed of the current goings on in the Club and to allow them to get involved in various social activities.

During the football season, WOPAs get a monthly e-mail with teams, results, reports and general news. And the first Saturday of each month, October to April, is designated a WOPAs day.

If you turn up at Loop Road to watch the games on a WOPAs day, you are guaranteed to meet other WOPAs who will join you in the bar. No excuse if you live outside Woking. We have had visits from people living outside the UK who are just back passing through the Woking area.
